Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MaplePros (gomaplepros.ca), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. MaplePros is operated in Ontario, Canada and is intended for users in the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada.

2. Description of Service

MaplePros is an online marketplace that connects homeowners and residents ("Clients") with local home service professionals ("Pros") in the Greater Toronto Area. Clients post jobs, Pros submit quotes, and Clients choose who to hire. MaplePros facilitates the connection but is not a party to any agreement between Clients and Pros.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person or business
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. For Clients

• Posting a job on MaplePros is free
• You are responsible for selecting the Pro you wish to hire
• Payment is made directly to the Pro — MaplePros does not handle payment for services rendered
• MaplePros does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any Pro's work
• Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences

5. For Professionals

• Creating a Pro profile is free
• You must hold all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance required by Ontario and municipal regulations for the services you offer
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, credentials, and quotes
• You must not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or business
• You are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of MaplePros
• MaplePros may verify your identity, credentials, and business information

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Spam or send unsolicited messages
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the platform without permission
• Circumvent platform features or attempt to manipulate reviews or ratings
• Use the platform to solicit users away from MaplePros

7. Intellectual Property

The MaplePros name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Content you post (job descriptions, reviews, profile information) remains yours, but you grant MaplePros a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute it on the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

MaplePros is a marketplace platform. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any Pro. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of services provided by Pros. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaplePros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between Clients and Pros should be resolved directly between the parties. MaplePros may assist with mediation at our discretion but is not obligated to do so. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of MaplePros after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
